Flat Roof Contractors Refit Project

Acclaim, carried out an extensive flat roof contractors refit at Rednal House and Maxtoke Close.  Our works included the provision of access scaffolding and roof edge protection followed by the installation of a new IKO roof covering system including insulation and rainwater goods. A new surface water drainage system was also installed running through the rear gardens of the ground floor maisonettes. The two blocks were surrounded with houses and other low rise and high rise blocks of flats. Maxstoke Close and Rednal House are 5 storeys high and of masonry cross wall construction with brick panels. Maxstoke Close has 4 flats and 20 maisonettes. Rednal House has 6 flats and 34 maisonettes. The two blocks form an enclosed garden with play area, which can be accessed through the communal lobby area of Maxstoke Close and Rednal House.

Their layout is L shaped with the block split into two separate parts with the central stair tower connecting them. There are two levels of maisonettes, at the 1st and 3rd floors which are accessible from the communal external walkaway via the central stair tower. Each ground floor flat has their own yard defined by timber fencing and each maisonette has their own private balcony.

Residents remained in-situ for the duration of the works and their amenities and facilities remained fully operational throughout the duration of the contract period.
