Considerate Constructors Scheme Success

Edith Cavell Lower School in Bedford was recently subjected to a rigorous assessment by an Assessor from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). All went extremely well and the site team scored a very respectable average 4.25 out of 5 in the eight assessed categories, which put Acclaim Contracts in the 'High Level Beyond Compliance' category. Well done to Site Supervisor Luke La-Thangue and his team.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is the national initiative, set up by the construction industry, to improve its image of Construction.

Golf Day

The Acclaim Contracts Limited Golf Day was recently held on Thursday 6th October 2011 at Stockbrook Manor Country Club, Stock, Essex. An excellent days golf was followed by prize-giving and dinner in the restaurant.

LHC Network Approval

LHC is the UK's largest public sector consortium for the procurement of building components, services and contractors. It is a not-for-profit, local government organisation, which has over 40 years experience of providing procurement solutions for all public sector buildings. LHC Network allows any public sector organisations to procure building products and services for construction, refurbishment and repair programmes for social housing, schools and other public buildings. The whole Acclaim Contracts Team were delighted to be one of only four contractors approved under the LHC Network for the Southern Region following a stringent tendering and a selection process, carried out in strict accordance with the EU Procurement Directive.

Acclaim Contracts approval under this Network covers the Surveying, Design and Installation of Flat and Pitched Roofing Systems and Coverings together with Associated Works.

New Roof Care Service Launched

Acclaim Contracts have launched their new Roof Care and Maintenanace Service. Prevention is not only better but far cheaper than the cure! Lack of maintenance can result in major problems including premature degrading of the roof covering, dampness, leaks and may even invalidate the roof covering guarantee. When the condition of a roof is ignored, it can be expected to fail before it reaches half its design life. Acclaim Contracts Roof Care and Maintenance Service offers a comprehensive planned maintenance programme where small defects can be detected and repaired before they turn into major failures.
