Central Park School
Client:
Central Park School - London Borough of Newham
Description:
This five week project was undertaken during the school summer holidays. On-time completion was critical to the Client and to the School's Head to avoid any disruption to the new school year. As planned, the project was handed over, snag-free, to a delighted Client before the start of the new school year.
The works involved the removal of 50 timber window frames, which had deteriorated beyond economic repair, and replacing with new UPVC vertical sliding frames. Badly deteriorated facias and soffits were also completely removed and replaced with new, maintenance-free UPVC. Deepflow guttering was installed together with joints, brackets and outlets. Internal window reveals were made good and decorated to match existing.
Value:
£ 48,000
Duration:
5 weeks
Comments:
On-time delivery was critical - it would not have been possible to operate the school had the works overrun into the new school year. The completed works greatly improved the school environment - everyone noticed the difference.
